The Assistant IT Business Analyst Manager plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions within the company. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to transform ideas into actionable results, guiding projects from start to finish. This role involves analysing business requirements, coordinating between stakeholders, and facilitating the implementation of technology solutions that support organizational goals. You will report directly to the IT Director for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering:
- Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Participate in workshops and meetings to understand business needs and challenges.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyse data related to business processes and IT systems to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to management.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as a liaison between IT teams, business units, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of project goals.
- Assist in developing training materials and conducting training sessions for end-users.
- Project Support:
- Support the planning and execution of IT projects, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Monitor project progress and assist in identifying risks and issues.
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of business processes and IT solutions.
- Identify and recommend improvements based on analysis and stakeholder feedback.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure that project documentation, including requirements specifications, user stories, process maps, high-level wireframe and user manuals, is complete and up to date.
- Support compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Assist in mentoring and guiding junior business analysts in their projects and professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- With at least 5 years of hands-on experience in business analysis and IT project management is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and business intelligence softwaren like SQL, Excel, Tableau and Google BigQuery
- Familiarity with business analysis frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile) is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver projects independently in a fast-moving business environment.
