Basic Purpose and Objective of Job
The Valuation Advisor plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service, managing sales and loan transactions, and ensuring accurate valuation of items. Key responsibilities include upholding store presentation standards, overseeing inventory management, achieving sales targets, and handling administrative duties. This position is pivotal in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within a retail environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver Service Excellence

- Deliver customer service through various communication platforms, including answering incoming calls according to operational standards.

- Provide after sales and valuation services.
Perform Sales and Loan Transactions
- Ensure accuracy when evaluating and testing valuables for loans or trade-ins, using appropriate tools and measures, in line with company guideline.
- Determine and negotiate values for loans, trade-ins and sales, leveraging a combination of resources and market knowledge.
- Transparently communicate transaction policies to customers, ensuring a clear understanding of pawn and purchase processes.
- Conduct sales of diverse merchandise, including gold, jewellery, branded watches, and leather goods.
- Handle sales, trade-ins, and loan transactions efficiently.
- Manage payments adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Employ strategic selling techniques and customer service skills to meet or surpass sales goals and key performance indicators.
- Guide sales advisors in achieving sales targets, focusing on areas for improvement.
- Assist newly certified AVJ team members with on-the-job training.
Stock Inventory and Visual Merchandise
- Ensure store is clean and presents a professional appearance.
- Assist in inventory management to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain visual merchandising standards.
Administration
- Assist in stock handling, stock-taking, and documentation.
- Assist with simple ordering and procurement for the store including stationery and pantry supplies.
- Contact customers about expiring loan tickets.
Tools and Equipment Proficiency
- Operate all tools and equipment required for the job, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in sales and valuations.
Training
- Attend comprehensive training programs, including obtaining tool and equipment certification, to refine skills and adhere to operational standards.
