Job Summary:

The Visual Merchandising Executive supports the development and implementation of visual merchandising strategies to enhance the customer shopping experience and strengthen brand presence across retail stores. This role is responsible for executing in-store displays, assisting with store layouts and promotional setups, and providing design support for marketing initiatives. The VME ensures visual merchandise standards are consistently maintained and contributes creative ideas to support brand and sales objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Visual Merchandising Execution:
o Carry out visual merchandising plans in line with brand guidelines.
o Set up and refresh store displays to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
o Ensure consistent application of visual standards across assigned stores.

 

2. Store Layout and Product Presentation:
o Assist in implementing store layouts, window displays and promotional setups.
o Update in-store displays to reflect new launches, seasonal trends and marketing campaigns.
o Conduct store checks and provide observations to the VM team for improvement.

 

3. Team Support & Coordination
o Work closely with the Visual Merchandising team to ensure smooth execution of visual merchandising activities.
o Support communication of visual guidelines to store teams.
o Provide basic guidance to store staff on maintaining daily display standards.

 

4. Graphic Design and Marketing Support:
o Prepare simple visual assets or design layouts for in-store materials, social media, and marketing collaterals.
o Ensure visual elements produced are aligned with brand identity and campaign direction.

 

5. Cross-Functional Coordination:
o Coordinate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations teams to align visual merchandising setups with business and promotional needs.

Assist in executing visual plans shared during campaigns and product launches.

 

6. Market Awareness & Idea Contribution:
o Keep updated on basic industry trends and visual merchandising concepts.
o Share observations and contribute ideas for improving display concepts.

 

7. On-Site Support and Event Setup:
o Assist in setting up visual displays for roadshows, store openings, and promotional events.
o Ensure timely setup and dismantling of displays when required.

 

Requirement

• Diploma / Degree in Visual Merchandising, Design, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of visual merchandising experience in retail environment.
• Fresh graduates with strong portfolios may also be considered.
• Skills in design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong sense of aesthetics, colour coordination and attention to detail.
• Good teamwork, communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willing to travel retail stores and support event setups as required.
